Request for Information (RFI) – Instrumentation Compliance Review
Dear Hughes Safety Showers Team,
Following a detailed technical review of your proposal against ADNOC’s instrumentation specification (Document No. 4422-JK-SE-000000180001_00), we request your clarification and feedback on the following points to confirm alignment with project compliance requirements:
Design Life
Please confirm whether the offered safety showers and instrumentation components are designed for a minimum 30-year operating life as per ADNOC requirements.
Temperature and Humidity Ratings
The ADNOC specification mandates compliance with outdoor operating temperatures from 3°C to 58°C and up to 95% humidity. Please provide exact operating ranges.
Ingress Protection
All outdoor instrumentation must be minimum IP65. Kindly confirm the ingress protection rating of your supplied units, panels, and junction boxes.
EMC and Surge Protection
Please confirm compliance with IEC 61000 and IEC 61326 for EMC immunity, and IEC 62305 for surge/lightning protection as applicable.
Power Supply Compatibility
ADNOC specifications require 415V, 3-phase supply. Your quote states 230V, single-phase. Is a 415V/3Ph configuration available or compliant?
MAC/MEES/TSI Standardization
Can you confirm if the offered units integrate or are compatible with ADNOC’s approved MAC (Honeywell), MEES (Siemens), and TSI (3W Networks) frameworks?
ICSS Integration
Do the safety showers support direct integration with the ADNOC Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) including alarm, trip, and start/stop signals?
Testing Scope
ADNOC requires FAT, SAT, IFAT, CIT, and SIT as part of the instrumentation QA process. Kindly confirm if these are included or can be added to the scope.
We appreciate your support and prompt response to ensure project-wide compliance.
Please reach out if any further documentation or coordination is required.
Best regards,
