INTRODUCTION

1.1

Project Objective and Location

The ADNOC Ruwais LNG Project is a two train, near net-zero electrically driven LNG facility, targeting international markets. The feed gas for the project is supplied from the Habshan Gas Processing Plant via a new export gas pipeline. The plant will have two 4.8 MTPA (nominal capacity) electric driven LNG Trains with associated LNG storage/marine export facilities and utilities.

Figure 1 – Project Context

The ADNOC Ruwais LNG Project foresees the following main components at the facility:

• Onshore LNG Liquefaction facilities for 2 x 4.8 MTPA electrically driven LNG Trains (9.6MTPA

total)

• Common facilities including inlet receiving facilities, LNG storage, BOG handling, flare,

refrigerant storage and support buildings.

• Utilities to support the facilities including import power from the national grid.

• Marine facilities for LNG export and bunkering.

1.2

Scope of the Document

The purpose of this procedure is to provide the principles of identification and numbering of instrumentation and control system items.

This procedure is also applicable to package suppliers and to all other contractors on the Ruwais LNG Project.

Electrical Motors / Heaters

As for instrumentation devices, tags for electrical users are also identified by their loop and function. For all motors and heaters, the loop code (function identifier) is the letter “M”.

The identification of motor/heater instrumentation signals could not follow the equipment name identification. An instrumentation sequential number, different of equipment identification, is assigned to electrical users.

The function identifiers used for electrical motors/heaters, composed of two or three characters, are listed below:

Attachment 7 – Assignment rules for serial numbering

General principle for sequential numbering of field instruments:

From 0001 1001 2001 3001 4001 5001 6001 7001 8001 9001

To 0999 1999 2999 3999 4999 5999 6999 7999 8999 9999

Assigned to Common Equipment A* Equipment B* Equipment C* Spare Package - Common Package – Equipment A* or 1st main Equipment* Package – Equipment B* or 2nd main Equipment* Package – Equipment C* or 3rd main Equipment* Package - Spare

If there are identical equipment in a process unit, instrument tag numbers associated with these equipment shall have same tag number except for the first digit that will be sequential. For example, air pressure transmitters at Air Compressor A (042-K-001A) outlet and Air Compressor B (042-K- 001B) outlet will be respectively tagged 042-PT-1002 and 042-PT-2002

The terms of Contract / Agreement No: CON22-146 shall apply for any disclosure of this document to any third party.
