Episode 9 — Onramp (Cross‑Project)

Episode 9 — Onramp (Cross‑Project)

Objective

  • Reduce time to flow by standing up SoT (CSV), staging Evidence Pack starters, enforcing variant/power/evidence gates, and preparing CPQ mapping for a new reference example — without requiring chat context.

Saliency Landscape (import this section for the new project)

  • Anchors to locate: Instrumentation/Electrical Specs; Vendor Offer/Datasheets; Quality Pack/Registers.
  • High‑Risk: Variant available phrasing; voltage/phase/frequency; ingress (IP66/IP67 per IEC 60529); EMC (IEC 61000/61326/NAMUR); Ex d default for field instruments (if oil & gas profile); referenced‑but‑missing registers/declarations.
  • Outputs to instantiate early: CSV (SoT) with EP ID mirroring; Spec Cross‑walk with Section_Title + Page/Line; Hazards Matrix; Decision Table; Evidence Pack checklist; Attachments Manifest; Spec Reference Register; CPQ Mapping.

Inputs (open these files/templates)

  • RFQ Workflow: Design & Build Workshop/Safety Shower RFQ Workflow.md
  • Standards: Design & Build Workshop/MVP Documentation/Safety Shower MVP.md; .../MVP Sequencing.md; .../sop/Standards_Catalog.md; .../reference/Citation_Style.md; .../reference/Evidence_Pack_Checklist.md
  • Templates: .../templates/Spec_Crosswalk_Template.md; .../templates/Hazards_Component_Matrix_Template.md; .../templates/Decision_Table_Template.md; .../templates/CPQ_Mapping_Template.md; .../templates/Spec_Reference_Register_Template.md; Compliance_Matrix_Template_Extended.csv

Step Plan (TOTE‑aligned)

  1. Stand up SoT & Evidence Starters
  • Test: Does the project have a CSV present?

  • Operate: Create Trial Runs/<Project>/CF02/output/Compliance_Matrix_Extended.csv from Compliance_Matrix_Template_Extended.csv. Seed High‑Risk rows (IP minima; Ex d default; variant availability; power baseline vs offer; EMC/register reference). Mirror EP Item_IDs in Decision_Notes.

  • Test: CSV present with EP IDs mirrored; High‑Risk rows seeded.

  • Exit: PASS.

  • Operate (Evidence Pack): Stage starter EP items — EP‑EL‑001 (Electrical spec extract), EP‑ATEX‑001 (ATEX Declaration), EP‑ATEX‑002 (ATEX Type Exam), EP‑ATEX‑003 (JB Ex d/IP certificate), EP‑SPEC‑001 (spec extract for IP/EMC) — mark Parked until attached. Add any project‑specific items (EMC declaration; quality register; IP certificates pack).

  • Exit: Evidence Pack Gate can pass once attachments arrive; Parked items mirrored in manifests and CSV.

  1. Cross‑walk & Hazards Scaffolding
  • Test: Are precise citations (Section_Title + Page/Line_Range) absent?
  • Operate: Build CF02/output/Spec_Crosswalk_<Project>.md with:
    • IP minima (IEC 60529) lines (e.g., 1721–1725)
    • Ex d default lines (e.g., 1771–1780)
    • Offer variant and power lines (e.g., 212–219; 468–471)
    • EMC/register references from quality pack
  • Operate: Build CF03/output/Hazards_Component_Matrix_<Project>.md; set variant_locked and weakest_link_flag booleans when applicable.
  • Test: Cross‑walk complete and Hazards matrix present with booleans set.
  • Exit: PASS.
  1. Decisions & CPQ Pre‑Entry
  • Test: Are Variant_Decision and Power_Decision unset?
  • Operate: Apply decision tree — (a) tolerance accepted; (b) include Ex d transformer; (c) alternate feed; (d) variant change. Update CF03/output/Decision_Table_<Project>.md with citations.
  • Operate: Produce CF03/output/CPQ_Mapping_<Project>.md grouped by subsystem; include ancillaries implied by decisions (Ex d transformer; Ex d JB/signage) and optional alarm/CCR lines with spec citations.
  • Test: cpq_list_present == true; linkage to Req_ID/Deviation_ID present.
  • Exit: PASS.
  1. Annex & Handoff Preparation
  • Operate: Refresh CF04/output/Evidence_Pack_Checklist_<Project>.md, CF04/output/Attachments_Manifest_<Project>.md, and CF04/output/Spec_Reference_Register_<Project>.md with EP/RFI links.
  • Operate: Generate CF04/output/Technical_Handoff_Summary_<Project>.md (counts by area class, compliance highlights, deviations, open RFIs/TQs, CPQ notes; Revisions & Open Items).
  • Test: attachments_manifest_present true; quality_docs_manifest_present true; reference_list_present == true; links resolve.
  • Exit: PASS.

Standard Works (with rationale)

  • CSV Coupling: Keep CSV as SoT; mirror EP IDs into Decision_Notes (prevents drift across outputs).
  • EP Mirroring: Attach/Park enumerated and mirrored across outputs (eliminates referenced‑only ambiguity).
  • Citation Precision: Doc_No + Section_Title + Page/Line_Range; repo‑relative paths (enables audits and fast re‑location).
  • Variant/Power Gates: Enforce as booleans in CF03 before exit (prevents late rework).
  • CPQ Linking: Link CPQ rows to Req_ID/Deviation_ID (maintains traceability from requirement to configuration).

Launch Checklist (operator)

  • Create CSV from template; seed High‑Risk rows; mirror EP IDs in Decision_Notes.
  • Build Cross‑walk with precise citations; materialize Hazards Matrix with booleans.
  • Decide Variant/Power; update Decision Table; generate CPQ mapping with ancillaries and optional alarm/CCR.
  • Refresh annex manifests; generate Technical Handoff Summary; verify links.
  • Update Trial Runs/quality-check/CHANGELOG_MVP_Updates.md with Episode 9 deltas.

Notes

  • Choose a new reference example under Reference Examples/ and replicate this onramp; adjust citations to the new file set.
  • If any anchor documents are stubs or unreadable, draft targeted RFIs immediately with exact file paths and line references.
